The most important difference between S120 and V120 to note for installers is that the V120 is 5 inches taller than the S120. It is also ~1” smaller in diameter.
The other major difference is that the V120 has a metal shell as opposed to a plastic one. The remaining differences are that the V120 holds 3 less gallons total but it’s rated for a boiler output of 350k vs. the S120’s 333k.
This makes means that–all told–the V120 recovery rate is 1 GPH higher and the 1st hour rating is 4 gallons higher (at a 90° rise.)
